The Chicken Wisperer...

Just the other night we were all out in the backyard and we let the chickens out to roam around. Abel would not leave the chickens alone! He usually likes the chickens, but generally will be interested for a couple minutes and then go play in the dirt or on his swing set. He kept wanting to pet them and hold them.
Our chickens are friendly, but don't really have enough contact with us that they like to be held and pet. Well, that didn't stop Abel!
He found the one chicken where if you get close to her she hunkers down (probably hoping you don't see her...) and stays where she is.
Abel decided that he needed to teach the chickens to stay (like Dad teaches Owen). He picked her up, sat down and held on...we are just hoping this isn't one of the ones that is laying, she may be too traumatized to lay for a while!! (Yes, we are getting eggs now! About 2 a day!)
